Certified Graduate Remodeler (est. 1999): The CGR designation indicates that a remodeler has completed the requirements of the CGR professional designation program, including educational credits, prescribed business standards and remodeling experience. |

Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (est. 2004): The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to competing in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry: home modifications for the aging-in-place. The NAHB Remodelers Council, in collaboration with the AARP, NAHB Research Center, and NAHB Seniors Housing Council, developed this program to provide comprehensive, practical, market-specific information about working with older and maturing adults to remodel their homes for aging-in-place. |

Remodeler Council Chair (est.1999): Participation in the NAHB Remodelers Council of Greater Southwest Illinois demonstrates a remodeler's commitment to professionalism and the remodeling industry. Members agree to a Code of Ethics. They must remain in good standing with the association. |

HBA Member: The Home Builders Association of Greater Southwest Illinois (HBA) is a professional organization of more than 250 builders, developers, remodeling contractors, specialty trade contractors, and associate members. The builders, remodelers, and developers in the HBA agree to abide by our Code of Ethics, to use accepted professional and business practices, and to meet or exceed local, state and federal standards and regulations. |
