EXPANDING LIVING SPACE FOR
THE PECK'S
The Peck’s contracted Fulford
Home Remodeling looking for ideas on expanding their existing
living space. Due to the hot southern exposure, their deck was
virtually unusable in the summer, so a hearth room addition seemed
like a good “fit”. The existing deck system, bay walls
and roof were removed, a crawlspace foundation was installed,
and a floor system, walls, and roof system were constructed, creating
a 295 sq. ft. addition. An abundance of energy efficient windows
provide plenty of natural light for the kitchen and breakfast
nook areas. Additional features include a small deck and stairway
leading to the pool area, a cathedral ceiling, a direct vent gas
fireplace, a recessed niche for a plasma TV and components, and
tiger wood hardwood flooring. This addition greatly added to the
livability and value of this home, resulting in a “great
fit”.
