The Miller’s decision to have Fulford Home Remodeling create this showcase addition was two fold; the need for a larger kitchen, and for a relaxing outdoor living area. “Hidden” microlam support headers were installed to allow for the complete removal of the brick veneer framed exterior wall. Brick veneer with limestone corners, cedar shake shingles, Anderson patio door and box bay window, and painted cedar screened porch were all amenities that matched the existing architecture of the home, making this renovation a “perfect fit”. Interior high-tech lighting, hardwood flooring and cherry cabinetry (custom made by Kunz Carpentry) all contributed in adding great value and livability to this Glen Carbon, Illinois home.
It's little wonder that this project won first place in the HBA 2002 Remodelors of Distinction Award.
